Here's an article from CNN that thinks they aren't crashers. I think I have to agree. They didn't really DO anything. It's the secret service people should be worrying about.

Last week, a couple, some how, got past security at the State Dinner in Washington and had quite an evening! They mingled amongst some of the most powerful people in the country. Wow I am surprised people can go uninvited to a dinner like that. You think the secret service would be sharper than this. Maybe that couple are the true crashers...I would like to meet Obama, maybe I will just tag along with that couple for the next big presidential dinner.
I saw this on the news, that is pretty amazing how anybody can just go in to a presidential dinner they werent even invited to. Like you said,\, the secret service should be worried about this. How secure is our president then?
I'd like to sneak into a whitehouse dinner. But of course I would only joke about doing it. Although the pictures they took with vice president biden are priceless.
I don't think there's a whole lot wrong with what they did here. If they had come with harmful intent, it'd be a different story, but they were harmless, and walked away with a helluva story. Also, I don't think it's that they got PAST security, they just got through it without anyone realizing they weren't invited. I really doubt they could have brought in any weapons.
